State Library Collection for Libraries

This collection offers free professional development resources for librarians and library staff in Florida.

E-resources are available directly through our databases with a library staff e-card from the State Library.

Library professional e-resources

The State Library maintains a collection of e-resources for Florida library staff.

Employees at any Florida public library, K-12 or public academic library are eligible for a library employee e-card.  

Professional development e-books selected to meet the needs of Florida's library employees. Available for online reading or for download using the Baker & Taylor Boundless app.

Short, engaging books with reading levels accessible to adult literacy and ESOL learners. Library staff are invited to preview these titles to decide whether they would like to build a similar collection at their libraries.

The State Library Professional Resources in Print list includes resources from the State Library’s professional collection for libraries. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list. For additional sources, search the library catalog. 

You can request print resources through your library’s interlibrary loan service.

For FY2024-25, the percentage of total costs for the State Library and Statewide Resource Sharing program financed with federal money is 67%; the federal dollar amount to be spent on the program is $1,502,070. Local match, which includes non-governmental funding, is $742,070.31.
